A new cleansing oil from Klairs has just arrived at OhMyGloe! If you've heard of double cleansing, or browsed our site for cleansers before, then you would be familiar with Klairs' Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil. Just like the name implies, this best-selling cleansing oil is known to be effective at removing dirt, stubborn makeup and any pore-clogging impurities, while still being gentle on the skin.
So, how is the newly launched Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil any different from its predecessor? Let's dive in a little deeper!
The ingredients of these cleansing oils are entirely different with a different type of main vegetable-based oil. While both oil blends in DEEP and FRESH cleansing oil are packed with rich in antioxidant plant-based oil, they have a different composition of fatty acids that give them their unique texture.
Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil main plant oils are the jojoba seed oil that is rich in Eicosenoic acid (73.4%) and Soybean oil that have a pretty balanced mixture of linoleic and oleic fatty acid content that is very nourishing and that provides that cushiony rich feel that is great for all skin types. This cleansing oil has a sweet fragrance (non-allergenic) scent to it. The scent is very subtle and therapeutic. However, if you have had any bad or negative reaction to fragrance you may want to keep this in mind.
Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil main blend is the sunflower and grape seed oil that is rich in Omega-6 it gives the oil that light and smooth feel making it a great option for oily/blemished skin types. On top of that, Fresh Cleansing Oil has no fragrance and has a much more simplified blend of ingredients and emulsifiers.
This is where the two Klairs cleansing oils differ the most. If you hate that greasy, heavy feeling normally associated with oil cleansers, you'd be glad to know that the texture of the Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil is thinner and runnier than normal oil-based cleansers! It’s closer to that of a thin serum than oil, and will leave no greasy residue after cleansing.
While both will get the job done when it comes to cleansing, each of Klairs' oil cleansers definitely suit different skin types and conditions. Those with oily, combination or sensitive skin might prefer the Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil for its lightweight texture and simpler ingredients list. Those who want a deeper cleanse, use heavier makeup or want a more nourishing cleanser for winter might like the Klairs' Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil better!
